Rainwater Tank Rebates for Lismore Residents
Eligible Lismore residents may be able to claim a Rous County Council rebate when installing a new rainwater tank. The current Rainwater Tank Rebate Program is available to eligible residential town-water customers in the Lismore council area, excluding Nimbin.
Eligible tanks must have a minimum capacity of 2,000 litres. Current rebates range from $200 for tanks from 2,000–4,499L, $800 for 4,500–8,999L, and $1,000 for tanks of 9,000L or more. Additional rebates may also be available when rainwater is connected to toilets or a washing machine.
The current program applies to eligible tanks installed, completed and paid for between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2027. Eligibility conditions apply, so check with Rous County Council before purchasing or installing your tank.
